IP Services can act as the liaison between an intellectual property (IP) owner and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). In this capacity, IP Services assists CBP in the evaluation of suspect shipments.
As the recorded agent with Customs and Border Protection, IP Services fields any questions CBP might have regarding suspect shipments of goods. Suspect shipments might include goods purporting to be those of the IP owner or goods bearing one or more of the IP owners trademarks.
IP Services has been training and working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in this capacity since 1997.
A developed Customs and Border Protection support program sends a strong message to CBP that you take the protection of your intellectual property seriously. It is also the best opportunity to prevent infringing goods from ever reaching the marketplace.
Our CBP support program can do the following:
Provide CBP officials with the information they need to identify infringing goods
Receive calls from CBP
Make determinations regarding the authenticity of goods coming through CBP
Issue letters of infringement to CBP
Receive and maintain seizure information
Receive post seizure calls from involved parties
